Two of the greats, Emmylou Harris and Rodney Crowell have finally got around to recording an album of duets together after thirty years of friendship and playing music together. Old Yellow Moon is made up of four Crowell originals and eight covers by the likes of Kris Kristofferson, Roger Miller and Patti Scialfa that the duo chose in conjunction with producer Brian Ahern. The song Black Caffeine in particular sounds great.
Below are videos of the pair singing Hanging Up My Heart and talking about the songs and how the record came together.
Old Yellow Moon is out February 26th via Nonesuch Records.
