Castlemaine VIC songwriter Jesse Lawrance continues impressive with the latest in a run of singles he’s been releasing through 2024. I’m very pleased to bring you the exclusive premiere of the video for ‘For Better Or For Worse‘ featuring Jesse’s partner Honeytree on vocals.
“‘For Better or for Worse’ is a real-deal duet between two lovers who trade verses before ultimately coming together to sing each other’s freedom. Instrumentation is lush and emotions run high in this refreshing modern take on the love-duet. Essentially – it’s a love song about not getting married!”
Filmed where it was written, the clip finds Jesse and Honeytree around the kitchen table serenading each other and celebrating the strength and mutual love and appreciation within their relationship. The simplicity in the arrangement, the rise and fall of their voices in unison; it all amounts to a heartwarming ode to love. The song also features the beautiful fiddle playing of Kat Mear and the dobro of Pete Fidler.
Keep an eye out for Jesse’s full length album coming later in 2024.
