VIDEO PREMIERE: PJ Orr – Bread

Sydney trio PJ Orr recently released ‘Guns n’ Money’, the first single from their forthcoming new album Wake Me When I’m Thirsty (Oct 25th) and now we’re very pleased to premiere the new single/video ‘Bread‘, which is out tomorrow (Sep 19th).

There’s a brilliant rolling groove, filled out with jangly guitar chords as songwriter, guitarist and vocalist Phil Orr sings, “We used to break bread, we used to run around,” before the band dig into a mesmerising and funk-infused groove, the guitars shimmering, chopping and swerving in a psychedelic haze.

As Orr explains, the song is about friendships and relationships changing over time. “Rather than sadness it’s more a warm reflection, embracing re-birth and new cycles, stages and challenges.

Check out the brilliant and inventive video for the single and find out the myriad of ways the pantry staple can be creatively shaped into an utterly compelling clip of the kind you may have marvelled at in the 90s on late night TV.
