Dashville Skyline appeared on social media a couple of months ago with the promise of a celebration of Americana music and culture with a twist. Now they’ve made their first line-up announcement and it is a very strong one featuring some of Australia’s favourites and a couple of interesting looking internationals. At the end of July they’ll be announcing another batch of acts to join those below.

Capturing elements from the evolutionary birth of Americana in the late 60’s, Dashville Skyline is a themed event, designed to embrace the developing Americana music scene in Australia. Celebrating not only the great music and culture that surrounds modern Americana, but also the traditional art of songwriting, and how many of the greatest songs ever written, help provide an identity to a somewhat forgotten genre.

The festival will feature songwriter in the round sessions, the best American cuisine, cars and culture alongside the relaxed family atmosphere that Dashville has become popular for.

Presented by Dashville, Rhythms Magazine and Tone Deaf, the festival will take place on the (long) weekend of October 3rd and 4th in the Hunter Valley. Tickets and more information can be found at www.dashville.com.au
