Henry Wagons has long been the central figure, the larger-than-life masthead of the band Wagons for 15 years and six albums but now he’s stepped into solo mode for his debut album After What I Did Last Night… due out in Feb 2016 via ABC/Universal.
The first single released from the album is ‘Cold Burger, Cold Fries’ which was recorded, with the rest of the LP, in Nashville with producer Skylar Wilson (Justin Townes Earle, Caitlin Rose). Drenched in pedal steel, piano and Wagons’ potent blend of humour and pathos the song sets the scene for an album that is being touted as “A uniquely personal album, that unfolds as chronological travelogue of Henry’s life; from a wild misspent youth to road-hardened troubadour and new father.”
In the hazy world of the morning after, nothing makes sense, but everything is all too clear. You laugh, you cry and eat whatever is left. Cold burger, cold fries…it’s all I deserve.
