She drives the band from behind her drum kit with groove and attitude, and has a soulful voice that evokes Patsy Cline and Etta James, yet flies freely in its own unique style.
Throw in a red hot string section of double bass and blazing country guitar, and together they bring rockabilly rhythms and endless energy to the dance floor!
Ben Leece was raised on Kamilaroi country and was writing songs before he even knew how to play. He offers up a soulful blend of minimalistic alt country, Americana, folk and blues.
Citing influence from Sam Cooke, Jay Farrar and Lucinda Williams, Ben’s resonant voice and playing intertwine to offer up a rare honesty that commands attention. He has shared stages with Steve Smyth, Nadia Reid & William Crighton.
As usual, Post To Wire Jukebox will be spinning alt-country, Americana, folk, blues and rock ’n’ roll tunes between sets.
