It was huge weekend in NSW with the launch of the Take Me To Town: An Australian Alternative Country Compilation launched in Newcastle, Sydney and Cronulla over three consecutive nights.

It was a real thrill to see plenty of people turn out across the weekend to support and celebrate the release of what we feel is an important document of the contemporary scene. The Stag & Hunter kicked things off with performances from The Heartache State, Dan Brodie, Jen Mize, Dave Favours & The Roadside Ashes, Ben Leece & Left Of The Dial and James Thomson all playing great sets in what must be one of this countries finest pub venues. The first five of those acts then headed down the M1 to the Marrickville Bowling Club in Sydney where they were joined on the Saturday night by Spurs For Jesus and Adam Young with Brielle Davis, before it all wound up in the iconic Brass Monkey in Cronulla where Peta Caswell also played a spellbinding set.

It all continues next month with album launches in Melbourne at the Spotted Mallard on November 10th, across two levels and then in Brisbane at the Woolly Mammoth on November 30th. Check the posters below for full lineups.
