Here comes another fine talent in the ever growing line of Williams songwriters and performers. Yep, Sam is the grandson of Hank Williams and the son of Hank Williams Jr.
This is his new single, a cover of his father’s 1981 hit song ‘Weatherman’, featuring his gritty rasp of a voice which gives the song a wonderful grain. Definitely one for fans of the sound of other contemporary artists such as Tyler Childers and John Moreland. He’s collaborated with writers Lori McKenna, Shawn Camp, Dan Tyminski, Jim Lauderdale, Mary Gauthier and more, penning over 40 songs in the past year so odds are there’s a debut album in the works.
