Recorded at the Butcher Shoppe Recordings Studio in Nashville and produced by Will Kimbrough, the new album by The Two Tracks is one of those consummate Americana albums that sounds like honey to the ears. Melodically the songs just roll along with melodies dovetailing into sublime playing, wonderful harmonies and strong songwriting all round. Right across the new album Cheers To Solitude there’s a strong and direct line from the songwriters to the listeners with just the right amount of production and texture in the songs to make them dance on the surface and slide deep into the soul.
The Two Tracks are a Sheridan WY quartet made up of Julie Szewc and Dave Huebner who met in the Bighorn Mountains of Wyoming before bringing Fernando Serna (drums/percussion) and Taylor Phillips (bass) along for the ride. Both of these songs come from their third album, Cheers To Solitude, just released a few weeks ago.
