Here at PTW I’m very please to be able to premiere the new video clip by Queensland duo Hillsborough.

‘Trouble Finds Its Way‘ is the debut single from the duo of Phil Usher and Beata Maglai who have been playing around QLD for the last six years, spreading the word about their brand of cosmic country. They’ve also added Glen Russell on double bass and Jonny Pickvance on drums to bring a fuller band sound to the group.

The single possesses a dreamy, swaying sound that resides somewhere between the psychedelic folk and country of the Byrds and the dusty electric strum of The Replacements. The central riff is one of those timeless chiming hooks, perfectly augmented by the duo’s sweet and ragged soaring harmonies. Check out the equally good video clip below. This is one of the finest alt-country/Americana singles we’ve heard so far in 2022.
