Melbourne group The Settlement are currently working towards the release of their second album, releasing a string of impressive singles along the way. Today I’m very happy to be able to premiere the video for their latest track, ‘Streets Of L.A.‘ which was released a few weeks ago.

The dark and moody song was written during a trip to Los Angeles in 2017 and reflects on the city’s glamorous exterior and the underlying issues of homelessness and “cheapness” that the band witnessed during their stay. It possesses that shimmery/shadowy noir vibe that the City of Angels is known for – that fascinating mix of glitz and grit.

The trippy collage video clip is the perfect accompaniment to the cosmic folk-rock/psychedelic night crawl atmosphere of the music, equal parts desert stars and neon cityscape.
