MFV RELEASE DREAMY PSYCH TWANG SINGLE DELACROIX

Wollongong NSW band MFV have been releasing a run of singles of late and the latest to drop is the activating sound of ‘Delacroix‘. The song starts on a rough and ready acoustic strum, the rest of the band gently entering the fray before the song truly swings into view, melodies pealing off onto each speaker and the twin vocals of Josh Flint and Margaret Fletcher adding hypnotic harmonies. There’s a gentle psychedelia washing over the track – wistful and pastoral with a great groove and feel courtesy of the rhythm section.

“Delacroix is our latest psych-tinged country ditty,” says the band’s drummer Wilson Harris. “This is new territory for MFV – rather than a funeral march, Delacroix is a celebration. It is a worship song for the godless.

12-string guitar, organ and vocal harmonies blend to create an incredibly bright soundscape. No matter how far wrong you’ve gone you can always turn around. Ain’t the threat of hell without the lure of heaven.”
