Drive-By Truckers have survived multiple line-up changes in their twenty year existence and yet they seem to be in possibly their strongest, most harmonious and richest streak of songwriting over the last few years. That prolific run of new music means that, following  2014’s English Oceans, we are about to get a new album American Band on September 30th.

Always keen social and political commentators the band take an incisive swing at the state of their nation, something that is sorely needed in this day and age when music doesn’t seem to take on the big issues as keenly as it once did.
