Melbourne’s Lost Ragas have followed up their excellent Trans Atlantic Highway LP with a new 7″ honouring the memory of friend and fellow musician James Cruickshank (The Cruel Sea) who died a year ago. Where James Once Played is a co-write between Ragas’ Matt Walker and musician Neil Murray who was staying with Walker when they heard about Cruickshank’s passing.
I’ll Be Gone is a tip of the hat to Australian musical greats, Spectrum. Their iconic song from ’71 is reimagined with original singer/songwriter, Mike Rudd joining the fellas on some harmonica and singing.
