Kick off those shoes, sit back in a comfy chair with your favourite drink or indulge in a slow sway around the lounge room on this excellent track from Max Bien Kahn‘s new On The Floor EP . The sounds of yesteryear run strong and clear through the song. There’s country, doo wop and rock n roll buried in its DNA as Max leads the song, with help from Esther Rose and Camille Weartherford on backing vocals.

‘It’s Only You’ is what Max calls “a nod to old swamp pop,” an old school mix of early rock and roll and traditional Cajun music.

The New Orleans-based Max is the namesake of Max & The Martians and his new EP gathers three b-sides from the All the Same sessions alongside an unreleased demo, all of which showcase the rambling, bare-bones feel of the Martian’s live sound.
