BUD ROKESKY RELEASES THIRD SINGLE FROM ALBUM OUTSIDER, OUT FEB 17TH

Bud Rokesky stopped me in my tracks at Dashville Skyline last year. Time paused and for a brief time all that mattered was that voice and those songs. He’s already released two stellar singles in ‘Floodlight’ and ‘Love My Baby More’ and now he’s released number three – ‘Baby And I‘, another stunning track from the forthcoming debut album Outsider, out Feb 17th on Rainbow Valley Records.

The devotional family ode sparkles and soars on the back of its classic country melodies, some fine pedal steel and guitar playing and a heartland soft rock feel woven into its sonic DNA. Of the song, Bud says “I was on the highway talking with a friend about life on a cattle station and all the seasonal workers and I guess seasonal romances that go with it.  We spoke about the “uniform” of Ariat boots and Canterbury shorts and how driving around in the truck you might hear a traditional country song, followed by an old rap hit, right back to a new country release or classic rock song.  Later that morning I sung the first verse and chorus into my phone and finished the rest of the story, before I took it home and finalised the chords and structure.”

The accompanying video, once more directed by Jeremy Hancock and produced by Tayla Pearson, sees a husband remembering the beautiful moments whilst mourning the loss of his beloved wife.
