MINOR GOLD TAKES A SURREAL AND MAGICAL TRIP ON THEIR NEW IRRESISTIBLE SINGLE

Minor Gold create their own offbeat, folkloric universe in the video for their song ‘Don’t Change’, the third single released from their upcoming debut album. The characters in the clip represent classic opposites and ultimately offer the conclusion that only love can conquer all.  It’s a take on the classic fable, but it’s one you can dance to.

The song is another brisk and breezy country/folk gem from Tracy McNeil and Dan Parsons, with saxophone and percussion taking the song from a Tom Petty folk-rock feel into a rhythmic groove bursting with melodic vibrancy.

Directed by Minor Gold, the clip was shot on a private rural property in rural Queensland by videographer Camden O’Shane.

On the morning of the shoot, we had a rough storyboard, some costume and make-up ideas and a vague notion that we would break into dance at some point in the clip. In the sub-tropical heat, we headed down the road to the hand-made stone bridge, dug in and let go of any sense of reality.”
