Last month Fanny Lumsden released the upbeat single ‘Millionaire’, which we rightly assumed was the precursor to a new 2023 album from the Australian Americana artist. Today she has revealed ‘Hey Dawn‘, the title track for that album which will be released on August 4th.
The new single is a beautiful meditative ode to nature and new beginnings, with some spellbinding harmonies and one of Lumsden’s finest vocal performances. There’s a Beatles-esque scope and melodic choral adventurism to the way the song bursts into full bloom. Like the first light of day, it’s the perfect way to usher the new album into the world.
