Jasper Shelton Hollis is a Nashville, Tennessee native now based in Melbourne, Australia who sings it with heart and emotion on this first track to be lifted from his new self-titled EP. It finds him re-telling the age-old tale of temptation, a story to be continued with the two EP tracks making up the trilogy – ‘Trying to Pray’ and ‘Heading Down the River’. Hollis sure has the hallmarks of classic country enhanced with a rich and dark streak of Americana both in his voice and the moody swing and groove of the music he frames it with.
